Get on the sidewalk
If you are going to ride a bike (which I think is awesome and very eco-friendly of you) please ride on the sidewalk. I know that bikers have the same rights as drivers but I also know that when I bike I always use the sidewalk when possible and it's really no worse than road and you have a less likely chance of being killed by a car. I think biking/walking/skipping around athens are all really wonderful but I also nearly have a panic attack every time some biker decides to ride on the street and I have to nervously pass them while trying to avoid on coming traffic. And don't get all "share the road" on me; you know it annoys you too.

09/05/2008 - use the bike lane- that's what its for. Otherwise, use your judgment, but personally I prefer the road, as riding on the sidewalk can prove dangerous to pedestrians and to you (the biker) if a car decides to suddenly turn right and doesn't see you (he is much more likely to see you if you are on the road).09/03/2008

I hate when couples walk to class holding hands, sit in class together and occasionally kiss while the teacher is busy and then snuggle on all parts of campus. I'm all for being in love but really does the whole world need to see your outward expressions of inward feelings?! I mean come on.

Mmmm...Free CAKE!
Please, stop using my tax dollars to buy $50. birthday cakes for your 4 year old son/daughter. Also, please don't get mad at me when I check you out and explain to you that you cannot buy prepared food with your EBT card. Sorry the government won't let me pay for your 12 piece chicken dinner. Did I make the rules? NO! I sincerely feel like there are people out there who need help, and I have no problem with that. However, when you buy a birthday cake, ding dongs, and gummy bears on your EBT card, buy a carton of Newports and lotto tickets with your cash, drive your children (who just happen to be wearing brand new Nikes) away in your new Tahoe I get a LITTLE pissed off. I work damn hard and don't make much money. But guess what? I don't buy s*** I don't need! Please don't let your wants get ahead of your needs, and please, PLEASE stop making my husband and I pay for your frivolous groceries out of our tax dollars.

It is not okay to throw your f***ing trash out of your car window. Please carry it back to your trailer and put it IN THE TRASH CAN! Just because your parents did nothing to educate you about how society works the rest of us should not have to pay for that. Maintain your own trash heap however you want, but our neighborhood streets are not yours to f*** up.

Furthermore, this applies to the people who think they can just toss their trash over the edge of their balcony. Somebody on the third floor of the apartment complex almost hit my mother with a plastic cup.

On the advice of my brother the Vent has been expanded. This should make you guys running your monitors at 10000 X 10000 very happy.
Look for more improvements to come, but for now the biggest change is the addition of CakePHP. Cake should make it easier to both maintain and update the site in the future so please come back often and as always 'Let Us Know' if you have suggestions.

I don't know why folks here think I wear collared shirts and backwards hats. I like t-shirts because high collars bother my neck. I also don't even like to wear hats because I think they'll make me go bald. I do wear baseball hats when I play church softball, though.

To Doctors, Clinics, and Hospitals:
DO NOT wait 2, 3, 6 months to send me a bill and then whine about how my account is overdue. No, actually, this isn't a 'reminder'. You can't remind someone of something you haven't told them yet! You certainly can't expect to charge interest on a debt you haven't told anyone about.
I do not care how long you decided to wait to get to my account or fart around with the insurance company. That makes YOU late not ME. Sticking passive-aggressive stickers on the bill is neither cute nor professional.
